The Sullen Art Collective
Established in Huntington Beach, CA. early in 2001, Sullen got it’s start from being heavily influenced by Southern California beach culture and tattoo inspired art. With a strong focus on ideals and practices of modern tattooers, Sullen evolved from a small group of art driven tattooers and artists into a world renowned “Art Collective". As a whole, the “Collective” is drawn to the idea that art of all forms should be promoted, while related ideas should be shared for the world to learn from.

Sullen humble themselves in bringing together like minded creatives and aiding in the exposure of talented artists located all over the globe. 

Influenced greatly by lessons learned early in tattooing,
Co-owner Ryan Smith (a professional tattooer since 1996) brought collaborative ideas from the tattoo culture he knew so well and blended them with progressive fashion trends to create Sullen. His inspirations from the tattoo culture allowed him and the “Collective” to build the foundation on which Sullen currently thrives:

Fusion Belts began in 2012 when Lisa, a nurse and mom of three, moved from New Jersey to Florida and took up running.
She realized there wasn’t a stylish yet practical way to carry her phone, keys, and money while running. Nor was there a wearable, comfortable solution to store items at a theme park or on the soccer field with her kids. Lisa wanted a product that was friendly for all body types (unlike most sports belts) and durable (unlike flimsy Velcro products).

So, she designed the Fusion Belt, made of lightweight, water resistant yoga pants material with large pockets. The zipper waist/hip wrap makes the Fusion Belt stylish, durable, and friendly for all body types.

To ignore the unspoken rules of dress is to draw attention to oneself and to seem to make a critical statement about the status quo as if one knows better.
