The Body Shop became part of the L'Oreal Group and de-lists from the London Stock Exchange on July 12 2006. It retains its unique identity and Values and continues to be based in the United Kingdom. The Body Shop operates independently within the L'Oreal Group. By August 2008, presented the unveiling of The Body Shop exciting new brand look. The Body Shop has an outstanding record and broad range from Human Rights, Animal Rights to Environmental Protection and other activities within the moral compass of standards. She first came to prominence after winning the third series of The X Factor in 2006. Her debut album, Spirit, was released in 2007, and sold over eight million copies worldwide. The album's most successful single, "Bleeding Love", reached number one in over 30 countries around the world, and was the best-selling single worldwide in 2008. She was proclaimed 'Top New Artist' by Billboard magazine in 2008. Lewis released her second album, Echo, in 2009. Her debut tour, The Labyrinth, took place in 2010.
Her third album Glassheart was released 12 October 2012. It was preceded by the single "Collide", which became her seventh top-five hit in the UK. With the release of Hurt: The EP and "Trouble", Lewis has had nine top-ten hits in the UK. Nominated for seven Brit Awards and three Grammy Awards, Lewis has sold over 20 million records worldwide. With her expansive vocal range and powerful, emotional ballads, Lewis has been compared to her idol Whitney Houston.

The company was one of the first to prohibit the use of ingredients tested on animals and one of the first to promote fair trade with third world countries. Roddick was involved in activism and campaigning for environmental and social issues, including involvement with Greenpeace and The Big Issue.
In 1990, Roddick founded Children On The Edge, a charitable organization which helps disadvantaged children in eastern Europe and Asia. In 2003, Queen Elizabeth II appointed Roddick a Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire. Roddick passed away September 10, 2007 She fulfilled her promise to leave her estate to charities, on moral grounds.
